About the Artist

 

Naila studied at Winchester School of Art and has worked in the fashion industry for over 20 years. She has designed for the high street and managed a print studio liasing with customers and their design requirements, gaining extensive knowledge in creating hand painted and CAD textile collections. She has also worked as a freelance designer for several London design studios as well as working as a textile/surface pattern lecturer.

 

Naila works primarily in gouache, inks and acrylics, then mixes both hand and digital techniques to create her textile collections. 

 

Naila's work has a unique, vibrant style, her work is cheerful and colorful, with a feminine flair. The collections include bright bold florals mixed with abstract textured prints and geometrics. There is also a selection of fun and sophisticated pastels and inspiring acrylic paintings. She gathers her inspiration from a variety of sources including:  travel, shop reports, shows and exhibitions. 

 

Naila's work can be seen on an assortment of products such as home decor, giftware, stationery, and apparel.
